ISABELLA RAGONESE

Isabella Ragonese, Palermo 1981, begins her career in theater and, in 1998, she wins the first prize of the National Ancient Drama Institute, dedicating an essay to Euripides’ Ecuba. She graduates in acting in 2000, continuing her theater career. The debut in cinema is in 2006, with a small role in “Nuovomondo” by Emanuele Crialese, but with “Tutta la vita davanti” (2008) by Paolo Virzì, she gets a nomination for the Nastro d’Argento for best actress. The following year she shoots “Dieci inverni” (2009) by Valerio Mieli and “Viola di Mare” by Donatella Maiorca but, the year after, with “La nostra vita” by Daniele Luchetti she gets a second nomination for the Davide di Donatello and a Silver Ribbon. In the last five years, there are many works between cinema and television that see her engaged. Martone chooses her for “Il giovane favoloso” (2014), Sergio Rubini wants her to be the protagonist in “We have to talk” (2015). With Fabio Mollo, we are in 2017, she will be co-protagonist, with Luca Marinelli, in “Il padre d’Italia”, and with Edoardo Falcone she shoots “Questione di Karma”. These are the years, among other things, in which she appears (literally) in the serial noir “Rocco Schiavone”. Among her latest works we remember the intense “Sun, heart, love” by Daniele Vicari (2018) and “My Brother chasing the dinosaurs” Stefano Cipani’s feature film debut.
