‘Rhubarb, rhubarb’ immersed us in a sweet and fragile landscape, embracing and shaking us at the same time. With direction that never takes centre stage but rather offers a humanistic and compassionate gaze.

With actors who seem to have been born into their characters rather than simply playing them. Rhubarb, rhubarb deserves special mention, reminding us that there is a certain type of cinema, and certain types of life, that do not need to show off to create a heartfelt and touching spectacle.
