A different film, in form and in writing. War, major emergencies, pandemics, dearths. Across the world, humanitarian workers are accustomed to the most extreme and riskiest missions and contexts. On the other hand, humanitarian workers who venture into the maze of their own intimacy are rare. Forty humanitarian workers and their loved ones have taken this step, to talk to us about the risk, the commitment, the first time, the helplessness, the encounters, the passion, the return, the inexpressible, from the bottom of their hearts. In this film, naturally projected towards others, the question of the selfishness of women and men who have decided to engage in humanitarianism has been posed, and imposed, as evidence. But aid workers aren’t the only witnesses in this film. For the first time, even those who share their private life and intimacy speak to us about themselves. Stories of life and double life in the heart of a hyper-realistic world, in an unpublished, cinematic and intimate documentary.

War, emergency, pandemics and hunger. Humanitarian workers are used to working in the
most varied and extreme missions and contexts across the planet. However, few of them venture openly into the world of personal feelings. For this film, forty humanitarian workers and their loved ones did just that, speaking without reserve about the risk, the commitment, the first mission, the sense of powerlessness, the encounters, the passion, the return home and the unspeakable things they’ve witnessed.
