For the XXVII edition of the Linea d’Ombra Festival, the Cassa Rurale Battipaglia Foundation with the support of Banca Campania Centro enhances their role as “pivot for the development and the good life of the territory”, becoming exclusive promoters of the special project together with the SalernoInFestival Association and in the collaboration with the school IPSEOA R. Virtuoso in Salerno.

Chef Kaba Corapi, with artistic director of the festival Boris Sollazzo and journalist/film critic Alessandro De Simone, will take guests on an unprecedented journey into taste and cinema.
The trip will be a cinematic cross-section on the traces of the guiding theme of the festival: “Conflicts”, in a welcoming atmosphere, characterized by sharing and research.

The Chef will prepare in show cooking, with the collaboration of the students from Istituto Professionale Alberghiero di Stato Roberto Virtuoso, a menu freely inspired by the theme of the event.
On 22, 23 and 24 October, at the educational restaurant “Al Virtuoso”, starting at 19.30, the cuisine will intertwine with a lively and eclectic narrative, to offer the guests an evening of delicious food, intoxicating wines, stories, anecdotes and curious background on cinema.

The “cinecena” will be an opportunity for diners to discuss the theme of the festival and, above all, to network with the aim of strengthening an ecosystem of relationships, planning and creativity for the benefit of the Salerno area where the festival takes place.

Kaba Corapi

Kaba Corapi, professional Personal Chef professionista and catering Consultant. Her love affair with cooking has always lasted: after graduating in law and qualifying as a lawyer she decides to undertake a structured training course in the field of cooking, already cultivated as an amateur during her university studies. Since 2008 she has been a freelance Personal Chef, designing and creating tailor-made culinary events for individuals (from intimate dinners to ceremonies) and for companies (gaining strong experience in organizing team building and corporate events). She carries out consultancy activities following the start-ups of new projects in the restaurant sector and intervening on existing realities that need to remodel their business. She teaches cooking at schools and associations and collaborates with private, Italian and foreign universities (Roma 3, LUISS, Borromini Institute – Gustolab International) for which she holds extra-academic courses of introduction to Italian cuisine and gastronomic culture. Creator of gastronomic formats focused on enhancing cultural identities expressed through food, she has been the reference cook of Slow Food Rome for many years. Together with journalist and film critic Boris Sollazzo she is the creator and owner of the Cinecene® brand, a format that explores the kitchen-cinema combination in a new and original way.

Alessandro De Simone

Journalist and film critic, editor of Ciak. Has collaborated for numerous magazines, including Gioia, L’Espresso, GQ, Rolling Stone. Collaborate as artistic consultant with Cartoons on the Bay, Bardolino Film Festival, communications manager of Sedicicorto International Film Festival and the Linea d’Ombra Festival’s Press Office. He lives in London.

Boris Sollazzo

Boris Sollazzo is a radio speaker at Radio Rock (Gagarin and Il Sollazzo del Pappagallo) and Radio 24 (La rosa purpurea by Franco Dassisti), a film, television and music critic and journalist, a sports commentator, a writer. Not infrequently at the same time. He co-directs the Linea d’Ombra festival in Salerno and the Cerveteri Film Fest, collaborates with La valigia dell’attore, has been a selector for the Venice Days and collaborated with the Locarno Festival. He has written for many national newspapers and magazines, now he collaborates with Rolling Stone, Best Streaming and other publications.
