Manuel Agnelli is the king of rock, he conquered America and La Scala in Milan, with his first solo song, at more than 50 years old: La profondità degli abissi, immediately won the David di Donatello and the Nastro d’Argento. He has become a television icon by never changing, that means always, because he has only one rule: to accept the most difficult and beautiful challenges, always, and to win them. From everyone, whether they are enemies or vestals. In his third life (at least) he wants to arrive at the top again as in his first life with the epic of the Afterhours, in his second by discovering new talents, now in his third by unleashing an album like Ama il prossimo tuo come te stesso which is shameless freedom, love, experimentation and young anger.

Manuel Agnelli

Manuel Agnelli (singer-songwriter, musician and record producer) has always been a landmark in the Italian alt-rock scene, both as a soloist and as leader of Afterhours. The band, founded in 1985 by Manuel himself, is still in business today. As an artistic producer, he has worked with seminal artists including Verdena, Massimo Volume, La Crus, Cristina Donà and Scisma; he has collaborated with an unknown number of artists, from Mina to Mark Lanegan, from Patti Smith to Daniele Silvestri and Carmen Consoli, from Robert Wyatt to Eugenio Finardi. He has also created important cultural realities such as the Tora! Tora! Festival and the artistic-cultural center Germi, and is the author and host of the television program Ossigeno (Raitre). He was also a judge of X Factor in various seasons of the program and mentor of the Maneskin, with whom he performed at the Sanremo Festival 2021 edition that the band has won, bringing a version of “Amandoti” by CCCP.
