Born in Rome in a family of artists in 1991, he graduated first from the Corrado Pani Academy and then from the Experimental Center for Cinematography. His film debut was in 2012 in Massimiliano Bruno’s Viva l’Italia. Two years later he played Maurizio in Sidney Sibilia’s film I can quit whenever I want, he participated in the thriller Surrounded and in the fiction Un’altra vita directed by Cinzia TH Torrini. In 2015 he shot his first film as a leading actor, Il nostro ultimo, a road movie directed by Ludovico Di Martino that received numerous awards at national and international festivals. In addition to cinema, Poggi works in theater. He worked with Proietti at the Globe Theater in Romeo and Juliet, Mar del Plata by Claudio Fava and Una giornata particolare, taken from the homonymous film by Ettore Scola, with Giulio Scarpati and Valeria Solarino. In 2016 he took part in Gabriele Muccino’s L’estate addosso, the following year he returned to acting with Massimiliano Bruno in Beata ignoranza and in Alessandro D’Alatri’s film The Startup. Also in 2017 he directed the short film Siamo la fine del mondo and Certe brutte compagnie, both awarded at various festivals. 2017 is an intense year, because he returns to the set of I can quit whenever I want, for the third and final chapter of the series, I can quit whenever I want-Ad honorem. 2018 sees him engaged in a role in the television series Trust directed by Danny Boyle and in his second film as a co-star Il tuttofare, Valerio Attanasio’s debut feature, which earned him the Guglielmo Biraghi Award. At the end of the same year he was in the cast of La profezia dell’armadillo, based on the comic of the same name by Zerocalcare. In 2019 he participated in Bentornato Presidente!, sequel to Benvenuto Presidente!, for which he received a nomination for the Silver Ribbon as “best comedy actor”. Guglielmo Poggi also cultivates a passion for music. He plays various musical instruments and occasionally performs live with his group, Eretica. In 2018 he participated, as a songwriter, in the fourth edition of the radio talent show Dallo Stornello al Rap. In 2019, he closed the traditional May Day Concert in Rome in company of the group L’Orchestraccia. In 2021 his participation in the Luna Park series produced by Netflix is announced.
She graduated from the Balletto di Roma in classical, modern and jazz dance (1996) and studied acting in Italy and in the United States. She works as a dancer in several successful TV shows, in several European and Australian video clips and tours with Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Geri Halliwell and Ricky Martin. In 2003 she made her debut in cinema with the horror film The Mark – Il segno di vendetta, directed by Mariano Equizzi. In the same year she worked with Gabriele Muccino for the medium-length film Le affinità elettive and, the following year she made her television debut as an actress in an episode of the TV series Diritto di difesa. In 2007 she was among the actors of the TV mini series Il Generale Dalla Chiesa, directed by Giorgio Capitani, in 2008 she took part in the Rai Uno TV mini series, Provaci ancora prof 3, directed by Rossella Izzo. In 2009 she played the role of Margherita in the film Scusa ma ti voglio sposare, by Federico Moccia. In 2017 she returned to TV, with a film by Edoardo Gabbriellini, and to cinema with Il più grande sogno, directorial debut by Michele Vannucci. Particularly appreciated in the film by the D’Innocenzo brothers, La terra dell’abbondanza (2017), as well as in the directorial debut of Valerio Mastandrea Ride.
Born in Wuppertal, Germany in 1978. After working as an intern and assistant director at the Hamburg Schauspielhaus and the Sophiensaele in Berlin, she studied German and Philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2005, she graduated in directing from the German Film and Television Academy, also in Berlin. She writes and directs some short films presented in international festivals and in 2014 she won, with At the door, the Short Tiger Award in Berlin. The Components Of Love, her directorial debut film, wins the 25th edition of Linea d’Ombra Festival.
